EPOC are featuring the work of Bylaw, makers of traditional handmade furniture – and fellow East Anglians, with workshops in Lenwade, Norfolk.

EPOC and Bylaw have a long working relationship, collaborating several times to provide traditional, hand-crafted
beds and mattresses for homes and hotels in various locations.

Featured in this edition is a selection of images from Bylaw’s collection.  Some of these beds (those at South
Lodge Hotel, West Sussex), feature EPOC mattresses and we think their guests will agree that the traditional
skills used by EPOC and Bylaw complement one another splendidly, giving a fabulous finish to each room.

At the Bylaw workshops in the Norfolk countryside, they understand the importance of time-honoured, traditional
methods and uncompromising craftsmanship. Hand cut dovetails, solid timber and painstaking attention to detail
are the unquestioned standard – and the results speak for themselves.

Every piece, whether a small and simple joint stool or a richly carved tudor bed, carries that unmistakable feel
of individuality, character and quality that makes Bylaw furniture a joy to own and a pleasure to use.

Bylaw’s Sales Director, Graham Hayes, says, “We’ve worked on the same projects as EPOC on several
occasions over the years, and recently worked closely with them on a particularly large and prestigious
contract at South Lodge. We are therefore delighted to establish EPOC as our bed supplier as their quality level
does justice to that of our handmade four poster beds.” www.bylaw.co.uk

Interior Designer MARION LICHTIG

EPOC have worked with interior designer Marion Lichtig for twenty years, being involved with several of her design projects, providing gloriously comfortable beds to complement her classical, understated style.

The most recent involvement we have had with Marion has been supplying the beds for three beautiful Swiss ski chalets in 2006, 2008 and the most recent in 2009.  Marion's attention to detail in each chalet is exquisite.  A stylish yet homely feel is always present, from the roaring log fire in the living room and the clean lines in the kitchen to the comfy, warm duvets in the bedrooms and the eclectic touches provided by artifacts picked up at London antique shops and fairs.

Marion says, “I favour a simple, relaxed, clean look and am attracted to clear and pared-down symmetry; my style is classical yet understated.  I believe design is about the careful balance of the contemporary and the classic.  I like a room to look as though it belongs in the present while incorporating elements of the past, working with colours of nature.

“For the past twenty years I have been doing business with EPOC Beds and my clients –
who are both corporate and private - have been appreciative and satisfied of their comfort
and quality.”

DECOREX FOLLOWUP

EPOC Beds' stand at London’s Decorex show this year had a terrific response. It was our first time exhibiting at Decorex and we were busier than expected; the number of people who dropped by to meet us was much higher than anticipated. We were very pleased to meet everyone who came to the stand, and welcome any feedback you might wish to give.

EPOC has already confirmed a place at next year's show, with something a little bit special planned for our next stand; watch this space for more information…

THE PENTHOUSE HOTEL RANGE

We are pleased to announce the creation of the Penthouse range, our new collection of luxury contract hotel specification beds. Each specially designed model in the Penthouse range features luxurious pocketed springs and layer upon layer of comfortable fillings. Cattletail, cashmere, white lambs’ wool, white cotton felt, cambric and silk are just some of the fillings featured.

Over 50 options of colours, fabrics and patterns are available to choose from to upholster the divan bases and headboards, allowing you to perfectly coordinate furniture with the rest of your room design.

The most notable feature of the Penthouse range is that each model is fully fire resistant to Contract Source 5, the specification which all hotel beds must meet. The EPOC
Penthouse range offers not only the best in quality and comfort, but also the peace of mind that comes with the safety and security of your valued guests.
